point number the first
Sep. 5th, 2006 11:06 amWeekend = fabulous. Despite losing my voice on Friday morning for no apparent reason, Boston was lots of fun. Shawarma was eaten, T's were taken, walking was accomplished and general fun and destressing was had. Saw Idlewild, which was ... interesting at the very least. Also watched I <3 Huckabees which was all kinds of crazy in an enjoyable way. Attempted to go to both the Boston Science Museum and the Aquarium, but was defeated in both efforts. And someone needs to learn to sleep past 630am, Just saying. Got to walk across an airport tarmac for the first time. Doing it at night on thursday into a fairly tiny plane totally made me feel like a rockstar. I also learned how to get back from the airport all by myself, well, mostly by myself.
point number the second. nothing kills a nice vacation buzz like waiting in the rain for over an hour for a bus. especially when you do not, at present, own an umbrella (a situation I may have to remedy this afternoon). So I am currently sitting on the reference desk at work in slightly-more-than-damp pants, the beginnings of a headache and no hope of seeing home again until after 10pm. yay first day of class. I also enjoy the fact that despite my not having had a single class meeting as of yet, I am also ridiculously behind on pretty much everything. Makes me feel like a real winner.
point number the third. I do happen to be wearing my fun new Hellsing t-shirt that cost me $5, Andy is coming to visit this weekend and we are going to the Baltimore Comics Convention. Plus I now own the full (trade paperback) run of Transmetropolitan. Now if I only had the time to read it.
