Today was a pretty fabulous day. I walked into work once again, hooray for exercise! It wasn't ridiculously hot so the walk was even pleasant in and of itself. I got to use the new bag I ordered online, and it is pretty much the perfect size for hauling books and papers around in while still looking cute and not being too heavy. I've finished the first to Horatio Hornblower novels (chronological to plot, not when actually written) and may have mentioned the "subtle" slasher subtext to my male coworker from Georgia. He seemed rather interested. I got to cover a 2-hour desk shift, which meant playing on the internets, reading and prepping for tonight's meeting completely guilt free and I left work two hours early. After leaving early I treated myself to a working late lunch/early dinner at Applebees, which was quite enjoyable and I managed to finish prepping for the meeting. Then I popped into the comic shop and am now the proud owner of trades 3, 4 and 5 of Lucifer (yay!). The Eyre Affair finally came in on interlibrary loan, which is good since I've had its sequel sitting on my desk waiting to be read for over a week now. The meeting (for my research job) went extremely well if much longer than I anticipated. I actually felt half-way smart and my ideas and the prep work I did were pleasantly accepted. While the affiliated professor was in I managed to drop a grape down my shirt. This was particularly amusing due to the fact that today I decided to break out the new "boob enhancing" bra I bought on Saturday, so the grape just kind of sat there rather than falling out as would be usually expected. Anyway, I was amused. I got to stop at the 7-11 on the way home and bought a blue raspberry slurpee with a shot of wild cherry, very yummy! Then when I came home my netflix dvds were here (first 2 discs of ROD: The TV) AND my amazon.com order was here (Sandman: Endless Nights and the two Death books)!!! All-in-all, a pretty fabulous day, even if I didn't get to go to the bar/concert w/
