Well, probably not the most heartening of topics for my first official dreamwidth post but what the hell. So I am most likely going to be losing my job come the end of June. I am, perhaps understandably, starting to freak-the-fuck out a wee bit. I really need to kick my ass into gear with the whole applying for new jobs thing, but the lack of response from any of the jobs heretofore applied to has not been promising. (To be fair, I've never actually done the real search for a job thing as I got lucky with my current job.) But yeah, this is in no way awesome. I don't WANT to move, I LIKE my life and I'm generally bummed out about the whole thing at the moment. At the same time everything else is pretty good -- the GSO concert went really well, I'm volunteering/fixing up a bike of my own at Velocipede and gearing up for this summer's water ballet. Blah ugh and damn. I feel like that pretty much sums it up.

So wish me luck, I guess?

also and aside: I really like my icon. Kate Beaton is awesome.
